The first issue of The La-La Theory is just bits and pieces of language things I think are neat. There’s an N + 7 poetry exercise; a funny list of words for groups of birds; meanings of the word toot that are colloquial or obsolete (freebie: one is “the Devil”); and two literary pieces, a poem called “Articulatory Phonetics” and a little personal essay on the word pizzazz.
