I dislike the word offensive. Also the word inappropriate. Say what you mean. Did someone insult you? Hurt your feelings? Make you angry? Then say so. There’s a right word for almost everything you want to say, and if you can’t find one you can make it up. Just don’t use limp language that doesn’t really mean anything. It makes me want to punch you in the face. (Though I hope you know I would never actually do that.) Here’s another one.
